Security issues have also mounted, with TNW revealing in July that hackers were systematically exploiting two WordPress vulnerabilities, shortly after an April report exposed a buyer who purchased 30 plugins to inject hidden access points. Meanwhile, Automattic has been aggressively advancing automated capabilities, enabling artificial intelligence agents to generate and distribute content on WordPress.com.
