Ex-President Alleges Tech Giant Grovels Before Him

Tech sector leaders have continually attempted to curry favor with President Trump throughout his second administration, showering the commander-in-chief with compliments, presents, and financial contributions toward his favored endeavors. Executive officers across Silicon Valley, notably Google head Sundar Pichai, have joined this broader campaign to appease the White House. Despite this apparent shift, the search giant did not immediately respond when asked to comment on the matter.

The changing dynamic was highlighted on Saturday, October 17th, during a gathering in Highland Heights, Kentucky, where Donald Trump touted his heightened authority compared to his previous presidency. Addressing the crowd, he referenced his decision to assign new designations to both Lake Ontario and the Gulf of Mexico as evidence of his executive strength. He insisted that his current standing forces major corporations to yield, stating, “This is a much more powerful term. I can do stuff that’s unbelievable … I called Google, Google Maps. See, Google wouldn’t have taken my call in the first term. Now they kiss my ass.”

While the president implied that his personal outreach forced the navigation platform to alter its cartographic labels, that assertion contrasts sharply with official explanations provided by the enterprise. Representatives for the company previously clarified that their updates rely strictly on established administrative protocols rather than executive pressure. According to their published position, the service simply reflects “official government sources, which is GNIS for the US … These updates follow our long-standing policy for bodies of water with names that vary from country to country.”
