Both teams failed to win on the opening weekend of the new campaign, but it was the visitors who dominated proceedings from start to finish in what was a chastening first home game in charge for new United boss Eva Olid. Chelsea were already in cruise control at half-time after well-taken goals from Sjoeke Nusken and the impressive Keira Walsh, who found the net with a sweetly-struck drive from the edge of the area. And the visitors continued to dominate in the second period as further goals followed from player-of-the-match Lauren James [61], Ellie Carpenter [65] and – with the last kick of the game – Lucy Bronze.
