At 24 years of age, former Wake Forest golfer Brennan secured his third professional title in just 33 career appearances. The young golfer had previously claimed victory at the Wyndham Championship this past August, concluding his main campaign in 46th position overall within the FedExCup rankings. His growing list of trophies also includes last year’s Bank of Utah Championship triumph. Entering Sunday’s final round tied with Zach Bauchou and Bridgeman, he ultimately captured the FedEx Cup Fall tournament at 16-under 268.

Playing through the undulating terrain of Yokohama Country Club, Brennan recovered from an early back-nine setback at the tenth hole by recording back-to-back birdies on the eleventh and twelfth. He subsequently executed a series of crucial pars to seal his victory, highlighted by a masterclass recovery on the sixteenth. On that par-3 hole, he blasted an impressive shot out of the green-side sand trap to within twelve inches of the cup. That brilliant scramble preserved his lead during the closing stretch.

Bridgeman posted a final-round 69, missing a key opportunity to pull even when his five-foot birdie attempt veered right on the seventeenth. On the eighteenth green, his distance control wavered as his 55-foot putt over a dramatic ridge finished four feet away from the hole. Meanwhile, past winner Xander Schauffele entered the home hole just one stroke adrift before pulling his drive left into the timber. A disastrous double-bogey on the last yielded a 67 for Schauffele, forcing him into a share of fourth place at 13 under.

Mitchell temporarily surged into a two-shot advantage after posting an eagle alongside three birdies across a five-hole surge, though he drifted two over during his last ten holes to register a 68. Joining Schauffele at 13 under were Brian Harman, who shot 67, Stephan Jaeger with a 70, Ryan Gerard after a 68, and English competitor Jordan Smith following a 70. Making his autumn campaign debut, Jordan Spieth carded a closing 67 to land in a tie for 13th spot at 11 under. Home favourite Hideki Matsuyama, who lifted the trophy in 2021, also recorded a 67 to complete his week tied for 21st at nine under.
