GV, Intrepid Growth Partners, Seedcamp, Vertex Ventures US, Plural and Garuda Ventures also took part, the company said in a statement on Wednesday. The round comes a year after its previous one and brings its total funding to $110m. “The best engineering teams have already moved from writing code by hand to orchestrating AI agents that do the work.

Recruiting is next,” said Siadhal Magos, Metaview’s CEO and co-founder. From interview notes to agents Magos and Shahriar Tajbakhsh, formerly of Uber and Palantir, founded Metaview in 2018. It started by capturing job interviews and has recorded more than 6 million to date. Its agents now source candidates, review applications against the role brief and run structured screening conversations.

People set the criteria and make every final decision, the company says. More than 7,000 companies use Metaview, including Deel, Affirm, Navan and Replit. It says some customers have cut their time to hire by more than 75%. In August, it bought Reval, an AI-native recruiting startup.

What the money is for Metaview is making fillmore, its autonomous recruiting coworker, generally available. The agent sources candidates, writes outreach, manages follow-ups and books screening calls. The company is also building new agents, including a dedicated AI screening agent, Magos wrote in a blog post. In one hire he described, AI sourced, researched and contacted 52 candidates and booked five screens.

The person hired went from first being sourced to a signed offer in 30 days. Metaview plans to grow from 80 to 250 staff by the end of next year. It will open a New York office alongside its teams in London and San Francisco. It is also expanding 10x Recruiting, its community and training programme for recruiters. “The recruiting process is generating more candidate volume than most organizations know how to handle,” said Ryan Hinkle, managing director at Insight Partners.

Other AI hiring startups have raised money in recent weeks. Spott raised a $21m Series A led by Balderton, and Jack & Jill raised $40m to put an AI agent on both sides of hiring. A recent survey found UK employers are the most wary of AI in hiring.

Metaview co-founders Siadhal Magos (left), CEO, and Shahriar Tajbakhsh (right), CTO.
