As my colleague Dom Preston already explained, it\u2019s almost impossible to keep product development secret when Apple and its competitors all share the same global suppliers.Apple\u2019s new CEO John Ternus and head of marketing Greg \u2018Joz\u2019 Joswiak addressed the topic during an interview with TechRadar\u2019s Lance Ulanoff and Mark Spoonauer of Tom\u2019s Guide.\u201cPeople knew through leaks that we were working on a foldable,\u201d said Joz. \u201cUnfortunately, they got the aspect ratio, and a lot of coincidental instances of people finding that an interesting aspect ratio.\u201d By \u201cpeople,\u201d Joz means Samsung, Huawei, and Xiaomi who all announced wide foldables ahead of Apple.What did remain a secret is the folding nano-texture display unique to the iPhone Duo. \u201cWhat I\u2019m super proud of \u2014 we kept it secret,\u201d said Joz. \u201cWe put the extra security on it.<\/p>\n
