Rebranded as the Baycurrent Classic, the ongoing iteration began at Yokohama Country Club with American representative Jacob Bridgeman taking charge. The 26-year-old recorded a clean score of eight-under 63, remaining free of blemishes while rolling off four consecutive gains during his round. His stellar opening display places him in contention for a second triumph in as many appearances, following his recent success in North Carolina.
