RFK Jr. headlines sold-out anti-vaccine conference alongside Andrew Wakefield

Former physician Andrew Wakefield, who lost his medical license after a disciplinary panel determined he engaged in grave professional misconduct and abused vulnerable pediatric patients, continues to be a central icon for anti-vaccine advocates despite his total exile from mainstream medicine. His retracted, fraudulent research falsely tied the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine to autism—a debunked claim that has persisted largely due to relentless promotion by Children’s Health Defense (CHD). That organization, along with its previous head, has consistently championed and spread the discredited connection between immunizations and neurological conditions.

Now, US Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is slated to deliver the main keynote speech at an upcoming anti-vaccination gathering in Washington, DC, taking place later this week. The event’s host, CHD, made the official announcement on Monday regarding Kennedy’s participation. At this convention, the current cabinet official will share the spotlight with Wakefield and various other prominent personalities from the anti-vaccine movement.
